In a major development in the TRP Scam Case, Former Mumbai Police API Sachin Vaze has revealed to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that he was instructed by former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh to pursue the case and get Republic TV Editor-in-chief Arnab Goswami arrested.
- As per reports from Republic Media Network, Vaze also revealed that Anil Deshmukh had repeatedly called him in several high profile cases and gave detailed instructions on the action to be taken.
"In TRP case, Shri Anil Deshmukh wanted to arrest Arnab Goswami. In Dilip Chhabria case Shri Anil Deshmukh wanted me to get some kind of settlement with his partner of approx Rs 150 Crore. In Social Media Fake Follower Case he wanted to have all-out action against the culprits" Republic World quoted.
Goswami was arrested in November 2020 in connections with the 2018 abetment to suicide case of interior designer Avnay Naik which was reopened in 2020.
Vaze is currently lodged in the Taloja Jail in connection with the Antilia Bomb Scare Case and the Mansukh Hiren Death Case. Meanwhile the ED still continues to question Anil Deshmukh.
