Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday stated that his party's Chief Ministerial candidate will be someone Punjab can be proud of. The AAP leader is expected to make some big announcements ahead of Punjab Assembly elections which are scheduled for next year, said the party.
"We have said again and again that we will give you such a CM face that all of you will be proud. We're holding a detailed press conference tomorrow" Kejriwal was quoted by ANI while speaking in Mohali.
The political situation in Punjab is already tense. Less than two weeks ago, Captain Amrinder Singh stepped down from his post as CM after feeling "humiliated" by the way he was treated by the Congress party, the state appointed Charanjit Singh Channi as the new CM.
