The Maharashtra Government on Thursday announced that Schools will reopen for all students from Class 1 to Class 4 in the state from December 1, 2021. As per the decision taken in the cabinet meeting today, urban area schools will reopen for Classes 1 to 7, while rural area schools will reopen for Classes 1 to 4.
COVID-19 protocols are to be followed strictly by all students attending schools. In Maharashtra including Mumbai, Classes 8 to 12 are already conducting offline classes. In rural areas classes 5 to 12 were already being held offline.
With this decision, all schools will resume offline classes from December 1 onwards.
