On Saturday, Veteran journalist Vinod Dua took his last breath after a prolonged illness following a Covid infection.
The news was confirmed in a social media post by his daughter and comic-actor Mallika Dua. She added that the cremation would be held at the Lodhi crematorium in Delhi tomorrow at noon.
He was last week moved to the Intensive Care Unit of Apollo Hospital in Delhi on the advice of doctors.
The 67-year-old journalist was a pioneer in broadcast Hindi journalism with stints in Doordarshan and NDTV. More recently, he was known for his political commentary in web shows for digital media platforms The Wire and HW News.
Last month, Mallika had said her father was in the ICU of a Delhi hospital and his condition was “beyond critical”.
