On Friday, Maharashtra Minister and NCP leader Nawab Malik, who was arrested in the Dawood Ibrahim money laundering case, was admitted to the state run JJ Hospital in Mumbai.
Earlier in the day, Malik was taken to the hospital by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for medical examination. He was arrested on Wednesday for not cooperating during the questioning.
He has been remanded to ED Custody till March 3. The opposition (BJP) have demanded his resignation.
Earlier this month, the ED conducted raids at various properties of people linked with India' most wanted fugitive Dawood Ibrahim including his sister Haseena Parkar's residence.
