On Thursday, an FIR has been registered against a local Shiv Sena Deputy leader Raghunath Kuchik in Pune for alleged sexual exploitation, cheating and criminal intimidation.
On Wednesday night, the woman lodged a complaint of rape and forceful abortion, thereafter a case was lodged under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 376 (punishment for rape), 313 (causing miscarriage without woman’s consent) and Section 506 (criminal intimidation) in Shivajinagar Police Station of Pune City Police.
The 24-year-old victim further claimed that between November 6, 2020, and February 10, 2022, the Shiv Sena leader took her to expensive hotels in areas like Pune and Goa and had sex with her under the false pretext of marriage.
Raghunath Kuchik threatened to kill the victim if she did not have the child aborted once she became pregnant, as per the complaint.
Further investigation is underway.
