Following the announcement of price hike made on Monday, the prices of Amul milk rose by Rs 2 on Tuesday 1st March, 2022. This is the second hike in prices by Rs 2 in eight months.
Full cream milk across Ahmedabad, Delhi NCR, Kolkata and Mumbai Metro markets costed Rs 60 per litre while toned milk costed Rs 48 per litre in Ahmedabad and Rs 50 per litre in Delhi NCR, Kolkata and Mumbai.
- Amul Gold, Amul Taaza and Amul Shakti from today will cost Rs 30, Rs 24 and Rs 27 per 500 ml.
"The price hike is being done due to rise in costs of energy, packaging, logistics, cattle feeding cost- thus the overall cost of operation and production of milk has increased," the company said in their statement.
