On Friday, the Jharkhand High Court granted bail to Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in the Fodder Scam Case.
"He has been granted bail on the uniform yardstick of half custody and health issues, he will be released soon. He will have to deposit Rs 1 lakh surety amount and Rs 10 lakh as fine," ANI quoted his lawyer Debarsi Mondal.
The case pertains to the illegal withdrawal of Rs 139.5 crore from the Doranda treasury. He was arrested in February 2022 and was sentenced to 5 years in prison with a penalty of Rs 60 lakh.
