Salman Khan's security increased as gangster Lawrence Bishnoi interrogated over threat letter to actor & his father

Jailed gangster Lawerence Bishnoi who's being interrogated in Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, has also been questioned about the threat letter (which had his initials L.B. at the end) addressed to Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan.

On June 5, the letter was found near the Bandra Bandstand promenade by Salim Khan (87) on a bench where he sits daily after jogging in the morning. He found the letter at around 7.30 AM-8.00 AM addressed to him and Salman Khan.

  • The letter in Hindi said that both Salim Khan and his son would soon meet the same fate as slain singer Siddhu Moosewala (Tera Moosawala bana denge), said the police sources on condition of anonymity.

The letter also carried two initials - G.B. which could mean Goldy Brar, while the latter appears to be a reference to Lawrence Bishnoi. However, it is unknown whether it was Bishnoi who wrote the letter or someone used their names as a prank.

Following the threat letter, the Maharashtra Department of Home Affairs increased Salman Khan's security. On Sunday, the Mumbai Police filed a First Information Report (FIR) against an unidentified person for sending the 'threat letter' to Salman Khan and his father, Salim Khan.
