Todd Phillips' "Joker" sequel gets official confirmation with title unveiling.

Joaquin Phoenix won the best actor award for his performance as "Joker"

On Wednesday, American director Todd Phillips took to his Instagram to confirm the news of a sequel of his 2019 hit film "Joker".

  • He also revealed the title of the film is "Joker: Folie a Duex".

In the Instagram post, Philips shared a cover page for the script co-written with Scott Silver, with whom he collaborated for the first film.

Philips also shared a picture of American Actor Joaquin Phoenix, who also starred in the"Joker", reading the script.

Ever since this news broke out, fans have started their speculating about the plot.

  • For the unversed, "Joker" depicted the life of struggling comedian Arthur Fleck played by Joaquin Phoenix who is framed into an anti-hero, taking the name Joker, inflicting horrific acts of violence.

As per reports, the movie gained around 1 Billion USD worldwide. "Joker" earned 12 Oscars nominations for best director, best picture and best-adapted screenplay. Further, lead actor Joaquin bagged the best actor award as well.
