On Wednesday, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said that they are keeping a close eye on the situation that arose after maintenance technicians of airlines went on mass sick leave.
"DGCA is keeping watch on the situation. Operations are normal as of now. We expect a resolution shortly," a senior DGCA official said.
He added that they are in communication with the concerned airlines regarding the issue and asked for early resolution.
During the last five days, a sizable number of the airline's aircraft maintenance technicians have gone on sick leave to protest their low pay and demand the reinstatement of wages that were cut during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The problem has largely impacted Indigo's operations, and it has since spread to other airlines such as Go First.
