President Droupadi Murmu, as advised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has reallocated portfolios among ministers in the Union Council of Ministers, a statement issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan said.
This development comes amid tussle over the SC collegium system. Rijiju had said that the collegium system of appointing judges was 'opaque and not transparent'. He had taken over as the law and justice minister on 8 July, 2021.
