Passenger harassed, thrown off train in Gwalior


A 32-year-old woman has alleged that she was allegedly thrown off a moving train after being sexually harassed by a group near Gwalior station in Madhya Pradesh.

Superintendent of Police (Gwalior) Rajesh Chandel, said that an FIR under Sections 354 and 307 of the IPC was registered.

“The woman has sustained fractures. She was accompanied by a male relative, who has not sustained serious injuries. The railway police have also been roped in to investigate the matter. She has not been able to give us details of the train, she just said she was headed towards Surat,” said Chandel.

Police informed that the incident took place on Monday night. The woman and her 23-year-old relative were found unconscious on Tuesday morning near the railway track on the Badori railway line between Gwalior and Guna.
