On Tuesday, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted raids at the houses of four terrorists operating from across the border to revive militancy in Kishtwar district. The raids targeted the militant ecosystem by identifying over-ground workers and terrorism supporters in Mughal Maiden, Chatroo, and Singhpora areas, according to Senior Superintendent of Police, Khalil Ahmad Poswal. The operation is currently ongoing.
As per officials, the latest raid by the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of Jammu and Kashmir Police targeted the houses of terrorists Jamal Din, Gulzar Ahmad, Shabir Ahmad, and Gulabu, who have fled to Pakistan and are operating from there. The operation is linked to a case registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
Earlier on 26 April, the special NIA court in Jammu issued non-bailable warrants against 23 terrorists from Kishtwar, who are also operating across the border, while 13 terrorists from the district faced similar warrants previously.
