Terrorists attack forest officials in Jammu & Kashmir's Pulwama region

On Wednesday, two officials of the Forest Department in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama region were injured when terrorists opened fire on them.

The officials were part of a team that was waiting at a checkpoint near the Bangender Bridge to catch timber smugglers. The area has been cordoned off by the police, who have launched a thorough search operation.

Senior police officers, upon receiving news of the attack, arrived at the scene with additional reinforcement and confirmed the details. The injured officials, Imran Yousaf Wani and Jahangir Ahmed Chechi, were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
