CBI arrests GAIL exec director, 4 others in ₹50 lakh bribery case

On 5th September, the Central Bureau of Investigation arrested GAIL executive director KB Singh and four others in connection with an alleged bribery case worth ₹50 lakh concerning the awarding of GAIL-related projects.

The case revolves around financial transactions aimed at benefiting certain contractors involved in gas pipeline projects.

"CBI conducted searches in Delhi, Noida, and Vishakhapatnam at several locations," an official said.

Meanwhile, searches are underway at Delhi, Noida, UP and Visakhapatnam.
