WWE icon Hulk Hogan passes away at 71

Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, whose real name was Terrence “Terry” Gene Bollea, has died at the age of 71. Emergency responders were called to his home in Clearwater, Florida, early on 24 July 2025 following a cardiac arrest. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance after first responders attempted to revive him.

Hogan had undergone neck surgery in May, and although rumors had recently circulated about his critical condition, his wife Sky Daily had denied them, saying his heart was strong and he was recovering well.

Born in Augusta, Georgia, Hogan rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s and became a twelve-time world champion. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005 and again in 2020 after being briefly removed in 2015.

Outside the ring, he appeared in films like Rocky III and Gremlins 2 and starred in the reality show Hogan Knows Best. He is survived by his wife Sky and his two children from a previous marriage, Brooke and Nick.
