Chennai-based Garuda Aerospace has deployed over 100 drones to assist the Andhra Pradesh Drones Corporation in Cyclone Montha relief operations across the state. These logistics and delivery drones are being used for aerial inspection, surveillance, real-time mapping, and monitoring flood-affected regions to identify choke points and aid faster emergency response.
Equipped with AI and machine learning systems, the drones are delivering medicines, medical kits, emergency equipment, and essential supplies to remote and flood-hit areas inaccessible by road. The delivery drones can carry payloads of up to 25 kg and are currently operating in Amalapuram.
Speaking on the deployment, Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder and CEO, Garuda Aerospace, said, “Garuda Aerospace has always stood at the forefront during emergencies. As a proud citizen of India, it is deeply fulfilling to see our drones making a meaningful difference during crises like Cyclone Montha. Our rapid deployment in Andhra Pradesh is enabling timely relief, improving situational awareness, and ensuring essential aid reaches affected communities swiftly. We remain steadfast in our commitment to serve as a first responder whenever the nation calls.”
