HKI Media unveils its media-tech platform Gig Media app

HKI Media has launched the upgraded Gig Media app, a media-tech platform designed to connect artists, performers and creative professionals with opportunities across India’s media and entertainment sector. Soft launched in beta in October 2025, the platform aims to address the industry’s gap in access to verified opportunities and structured talent discovery, enabling artists from metros and smaller towns to showcase their work and connect with agencies, production houses and brands, while helping recruiters discover and hire talent for films, ads, digital content, live events and music.

The beta phase was marked by a three-day theatre festival with over 1,000 participants, along with workshops and performances by industry professionals, and a collaboration with the Jagran Film Festival in November 2025. Since then, the platform has seen increasing adoption for casting calls, job postings and collaborations.

“India has no shortage of talent - what it lacks is access,” said Awanish Sharma, COO, HKI Media. “With Gig Media, we are building a transparent, opportunity-driven ecosystem where any artist, regardless of location, can connect with real work and industry stakeholders. The upgraded platform is a step towards making talent discovery more structured, efficient, and inclusive.”

Based on user feedback, the upgraded version adds richer artist profiles, advanced discovery and filtering tools, a new Performer category for occasion-based services, integrated calendar and scheduling features, and a redesigned interface for smoother navigation.

The next build, expected in June 2026, will introduce features for creative agencies. HKI Media said the platform aims to support India’s creator economy and will collaborate with the National Skill Development Corporation to align with skilling initiatives for aspiring professionals.
