Five Rafale fighter aircraft have took off from Dassault Aviation Facility, Merignac, France on Monday morning. These five include three single-seater and two twin-seater aircraft. The jets are currently, being refueled at UAE. The aircrafts are being flown by the Commanders of Indian Air Force. As per the schedule, on July 29, these five Rafale aircraft are to land at the airbase of Ambala Airforce Station.
The weather will decide whether Rafale will be landing on July 29 at Ambala Air Force Station. The Indian Air Force is skeptical about the possibility of inclement weather in Ambala. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are likely to occur in most areas of Ambala on July 29. Along with this, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning. In such a situation, the landing of Rafale planes at Ambala airbase could be postponed.
Indian High Commisioner Mr. Jawed Ashraf Addressing.
Planes might also land in Jodhpur
Sources said that the second option for this may be to select Jodhpur Air Force Station. Hangers of Rafale aircraft have also been prepared at Jodhpur Air Force Station, as the squadron of Rafale aircraft was to be built in Jodhpur before Ambala. But in view of the prevailing security conditions on the western fronts, the squadron was shifted to Ambala.
No Special Celebration To Welcome Rafale
Rafale's reception in Ambala will be simple. The Air Force Authority has deferred Rafale's induction ceremonies in this era of ongoing conflict with China. There will be no major event of any kind during this. Sources said that after landing at Ambala Air Base, Rafale aircraft will start preparing for their next operation.
