In April this year a man called Hemant Padalkar finally got his wallet back which he had lost it in a Mumbai Local in the year 2006 while travelling.
He had lost his wallet when he was travelling in a CST-Panvel local train a Government Railway Police official said. It contained 900 Rupees and some documents of him.
He was not able to collect his wallet in April due to lockdown restrictions. With the ease in restrictions he was finally able to reunite with his wallet.
"My wallet at that time contained Rs 900, including a RS 500 note which was later demonetized (in 2016). The Vashi GRP(Government Railway Police) returned RS 300 to me. They deducted Rs 100 for stamp paperwork and said Rs 500 will be returned after exchanging the scrapped currency notes" Hemant said.
