Assam Flood Condition Continues Worsening.

A government bulletin said that the flood situation in Assam worsened slightly on Tuesday(August 11), and about 14,000 people are still suffering due to flood in 3 districts of the state. Earlier more than 9200 people in 4 districts of the state were affected by the floods.

More than 13800 people have been affected due to floods in Dhemaji, Baksa and Morigaon districts, according to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority's daily flood report. More than 12000 people have suffered in Dhemaji, followed by 1000 in Baksa and 800 in Morigaon village.

This year in Assam, 136 people have lost their lives due to floods and landslides, out of which 110 people died in flood-related incidents and 26 died in landslides.

According to the authority, 89 village have got submerged and standing crops have been destroyed in 5984 hectares of fields all over the state.
