After Ladakh, this time the dragon's eye, i.e.,China, is on the Lipulekh pass in Uttarakhand.
An Indian army official said that, about 1,000 Chinese troops had set up camp near the Lipulekh Pass. Clean from the amount of weapons and supplies they have; they have come prepared for war. He also said that the Chinese military has recently increased its activities along the Line of Actual Control in North Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.
The situation in Lipulekh is more sensitive to New Delhi diplomatically. In the map approval bill passed by the Nepal Parliament in June, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura in Uttarakhand as well as Lipulekh Pass have been identified as 'Land of Nepal'. Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli did not listen to New Delhi's objections. In this situation, the presence of Chinese troops in the region has given a new dimension to the issue.
