Today 27th September marks the 88th Birth Anniversary of the legendary film maker and Director Yash Chopra. We at the SU-NITI News pay our tribute and wish Yash Chopra Sahab on his 88th Birthday.
He was a film director and producer born in Lahore,Punjab current day Lahore,Pakistan. He is the founding chairman of film production and distribution company Yash Raj Films.
Chopra won many awards in his career including six National Film Awards and 11 FilmFare Awards. For his illustrious contribution to Indian Cinema, he was awarded the DadaSaheb Phalke Award in 2001 and Padma Bhushan in 2005. He became the first Indian to be presented as a lifetime membership by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
Some of his works include Kaala Patthar (1979),Doosra Aadmi (1977), Noorie (1979), Mashaal (1984), Chandini (1989), Darr (1993) and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenga (1995).
