Government asks Varsities to share exam timetable by September 7

 

Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant has asked all 13 non agricultural Universities to share their respective exam timetable by September 7.

Samant shared some of his views and recommendations and said that VIVA and Practical Exam can be conducted through Skype or similar apps or through smartphones. In Case students are not able to appear for exams, Universities will make provisions for reconducting the exams.

The Committee has recommended to conduct exams from Home, should have less duration and can be online or blended mode or pen-paper approach.

"Different Modes have been suggested as Multiple Choice Questions(MCQs), Optical Mark Recognition, assigned based or open book test. The Universities need to decide on a mode, syllabus and exam date after approval of university bodies. They need to revert latest by Tuesday, so that we can schedule meeting with the Disaster Management Authority" said Uday Samant.

He added that the governor has instructed universities to complete examination process by October 31st.
