
[BREAKING NEWS:- Following the arrests of Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested Dipesh Sawant at 8:06 pm today, for alleged involvement in drugs procurement. As per sources, Sawant was inconsistent with his statements during the interrogation.]
- At 7:38 pm on September 5th 2020(Saturday), Sushant Singh Rajput's self-claimed friend Sandip Singh left the DRDO guesthouse. Singh was interrogated by the CBI in connection with Sushant's death probe. Sushant's sister Meetu Singh also left the DRDO guesthouse.
- "We are probing the evidence, by evening we will be able in a position to tell you," NCB Deputy Director KPS Malhotra on summoning Rhea.
- Following the arrest and remand of Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda, NCB sources have informed that the agency is likely to arrest Dipesh Sawant later today.
- At 3:57 pm, September 5th 2020, Sushant's family friend Smita Parikh revealed that Sandip Singh was being questioned by the CBI. She revealed that the producer, who has been under lens for questionable statements and actions, was present inside the DRDO guesthouse, and also a 'mystery girl.' Moreover, Sushant's friend, actor Mahesh Shetty has also appeared before the CBI.
- Sushant's family friend Smita Parikh has recorded her statement with the CBI. On her way out of the DRDO guesthouse, she claimed that the CBI probe was moving in the right direction. She also revealed that the 'mystery girl' spotted at Sushant's residence was also being questioned at the venue.
- Alleged drug dealer Kaizan Ibrahim has been granted bail. He had been remanded to 14-day judicial custody before. The bail was "granted bail" on a surety of Rs 10,000. The other two alleged drug dealers Abdul Basit and Zaid are still in NCB custody.
- The NCB had in the afternoon today, confirmed that prime accused Rhea will be summoned over her links in the narcotics probe, after her brother Showik was arrested. The officials also informed that there could be a joint interrogation of Showik and others, as they expressed confidence about taking the matter to fruition.
- Following the court's decision to send Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda to a four-day NCB custody, the duo were brought back to the NCB office.
