A 50 Year Old Man from Singrauli allegedly beheaded his wife infront of his two children on Thursday and offered her as human sacrifice to a Deity.
The incident took place at Basauda Village of Singrauli district. Brajesh Kewat killed his wife Bitti in front of his children Manoj and Surendra and buried her head and torso separately in the prayer room.
After committing the crime he tried to flee but was unsuccessful as his kids ran out and informed the neighbors who soon called the police.
According to his Kids, Prior to killing his wife he had sacrificed a goat some day ago and buried it's carcass in the prayer room to please a Deity.
After his sons woke up in the middle of the night after hearing the screams of their mother, he threatened to kill them as well but they ran away and informed the locals.
Singrauli Additional Police Superintendent Pradeep Shende said " I am myself interrogating the accused to get to the bottom of this case. According to the statements of his sons, it appears the man killed his wife out of superstition." Further Investigation is going on.
