HC asks BMC if they demolished structures under construction or which were already constructed

On Friday the Bombay High Court said that they will examine structures at Kangana's home in Pali Hill and see whether the structures demolished were under construction or already built.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation had pleaded and stated that they got a notice that some illegal work was going on in Kagana's Home and she didn't ask for permission. The Court has also asked BMC whether they had worked with the same swiftness in demolishing of other illegal constructions in the city.

Kangana's advocates said that there was no ongoing work in her premise and that allegations made by BMC officers were false and only to harm her and make a statement in front of the public. They even told the Court that BMC's actions were malafide and arbitrary and had "Ignored every provision of the law".

Her advocates claim that the construction which BMC is taking about were done with full authorization and were completed in 2019 and could be proved with photographs of a function which took at her place in January this year.

The further hearing of this case will now be heard on September 28,along with Ranaut's remaining arguments and BMC's response to this statement.
