Kagana Ranaut wants Rs 2 Crore as 'compensation' for the Damages by BMC

 

After the damages she has suffered through "Illegal Demolition" Actress Kangana Ranaut has filed a case in the Bombay High Court against the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to pay her Rs 2 Crore.

The plea filed by Bombay High Court says that around 40 percent of her Pali Hill Bunglow which she even used as her office included valuable properties including chandeliers, rare artworks and soughts intern relief to take steps to make her property "reusable" again.

The plea also mentions that despite her notice to BMC's "stop work" at 10:35 am, The officals of the Civic body were already present outside her home for the demolition way early before the original schedule time.

The Petition stated "The photograph clearly shows that BMC officials, along with police officials when all equipments were already ready to demolish the said bungalow, which shows that BMC always had malafide intentions and ulterior motives to demolish the bungalow. Actions by respondents were premeditated and vitiated by malice".

It also added that the large scale Demolition has caused a damage estimated around Rs 2 Crore which Kagana wants from BMC as an compensation.

The court has ordered the BMC to respond to this plea by September 18 and posted for the hearing on September 22. The court has ordered BMC to restrain themselves from undertaking anymore demolition work of property till then.
