Kevin De Bruyne wins PFA Player of the Year Award

 

On Tuesday, Kevin De Bruyne was crowned the Professional Footballers Association Player of the year award for 2019-2020.

Manchester City might have stumbled big by losing the Premier League title to Liverpool by 18 points despite finishing as Runners Ups. But there was no denying that the Belgium Midfielder was head and shoulders above every other player in the League.

He contributed 16 Goals and 23 Assists in all Competitions also equalling Thierry Henry's record of 20 assists in a Single Premier League season.

De Bruyne saw off the award against Teammate Raheem Sterling and Liverpool Quartet of Skipper Jordan Henderson, Virgil Van Dijk, Sadio Mane and Trent Alexander Arnold, who was crowned PFA's Young Player of the year.

De Bruyne who is the first City player to win this individual award said "It's a huge honour. To be voted for by your colleagues and competitors from other teams who you play against and they vote for you for best player is amazing."

He even makes the PFA'S Team of the year which includes Former Teammate David Silva and Liverpool Quartet against whom he fought for this award.
