As the headline reads, Kings XI Punjab Defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 97 runs. Yeah that's correct 97 runs. Such a big margin of victory in T20 just shows how good was one team and how poor was the other. RCB Captain Virat Kohli won the toss and decided to bowl first.
After losing the first match in Super Over, Kings XI wanted to made a good start of the Competition.RCB in the other hand had won their first game and were looking to make it 2 wins in a row.
Virat Kohli, Indian Captain and considered the very best in terms of batting showed that he is also human and can mistakes. He dropped 2 catches of Punjab Skipper KL Rahul who made full use of the opportunity of those dropped chances.

To chase such a huge target you need to have a good start and that's exactly what Bangalore didn't get. Losing Openers Padikkal and Philippe and then Captain Virat Kohli after just 3 overs with the score at 4/3 it almost became like a football score.
Aaron Finch and AB de Villiers tried their best to do something but it was out of their hands as well. After they departed with the score at 57/5, it was just a case of how much can Bangalore lower the margin of Defeat.
Wickets kept on falling and eventually Bangalore succumbed at the score of 109 in just 17 overs with 3 overs still remaining.If put to context they lost to KL Rahul by 23 runs and lost the match to Punjab by 97 runs.
