On Saturday, Mumbai Police Arrested a former trustee of Jama Masjid after he allegedly 'sold four graves' with forged papers,one of which included the grave of blast convict of the 1993 Blast in Mumbai, Yakub Memon who was hanged and buried in 2015.

The Police has identified the man as Parvez Sarkare who had sold these graves for a sum of 5 Lakh Rupees. The police were informed after relative of Yakub, Mahmood Memon lodged an FIR in March.

The Police are now searching for another former trustee who is also suspected to be a part of this case. The police have informed and written to Qabrastan authorities asking them not to carry out burials in these four graves as the matter was under investigation.
