| Shree Hemkund Sahib At Chamoli District in Uttarakhand |
On Friday, the doors of Hemkund Sahib will be opened to the common devotees at 10 am. All the arrangements in Hemkund Sahib have been set up by the Gurdwara Committee.
Today(3rd September), the first batch of pilgrims left for Hemkund Sahib from Govindghat Gurdwara under the leadership of Panch Pyare.
It is to be noted that in view of the covid-19 epidemic, this time it will be compulsory for every devotee visiting Hemkund Sahib to undergo RTPCR test of Covid 72 hours in advance. Only 200 devotees will be allowed to go to Hemkund from Govindghat in a day. At the same time, the elderly have been appealed not to come on the journey.
The journey will last approximately one month and 5 days. During the Yatra it is mandatory to observe physical distance, wearing masks and following all the rules of Covid in Gurudwaras.
In fact, this time Hemkund Sahib's doors were not opened due to the lockdown that began with the Janata curfew from 22 March. Now, from September 4 to October 10, the doors of Hemkund Sahib will be open for the devotees.
