Western Railways plan to run 500 Special Suburban Trains over Mumbai Metropolitan Region

 

The Western Railways had decided that it will operate now 500 special suburban trains instead of 350 over the Mumbai Metropolitan Region with social distancing norms from September 21.

The number of trains have been increased from 350 to 500 for commuters. The services will only be for people who need to travel for work only and not any other means.

The Railways have asked people who will travel in trains to follow Social Distancing norms in the trains and not to over crowd the trains and made to wear mask compulsory. If someone is found to be not wearing a mask will be fined and won't be allowed to board the train.

There are a total of 150 increased services from earlier as 74 increases in Virar Sector,37 Services from Virar (34 Slow and 3 Fast) in UP Direction and 37 Services towards Virar(34 Slow and 3 Fast) in DN Direction.

The other 76 increases come in the Borivali Sector. Out of 76 there will be 37 slow services towards Churchgate in UP Direction and 39 services(38 Slow and 1 Fast) towards Borivali in DN Direction.

Vasai Road to Borivali-2 (0 UP, 2 DN)

Mahalaxmi to Borivali-7 (0 UP, 7 DN)

Borivali to Churchgate-209 (107 UP, 102 DN)

Dahanu Road to Churchgate-8 (4 UP, 4 DN)

Dahanu Road to Borivali-2 (1 UP, 1DN)

Dahanu Road to Virar- 26 (13 UP, 13 DN)
