Cody Bellinger's Home Run helps the LA Dodgers to advance to the World Series

 

Cody Bellinger's Home Run won the game

The Game 7 of the National League Championship Series saw the Los Angeles Dodgers complete the series comeback as they won the game and won the series 4-3 to advance through to the World Series 2020 where they will face the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Braves batted first as they were the away team in this neutral venue. After 2 back to back walks in the top of the 1st inning, Marcell Ozuna drived in an RBI single through left center field to bring Ronald Acuna Jr home to make it 1-0 for the Braves.They then extended their lead to 2-0 in the top of the second innings when Swanson smoked a solo home run into the stands.

After 2 scoreless innings and with runners on 2nd and 3rd bases due to a double by Max Muncy, Will Smith drove in a 2 run RBI single in the bottom of 3rd inning to make it 2-2 for the Dodgers.Braves took the lead again in the when Austin Riley delivered an RBI single in the top of the 4th inning to make it 3-2 ball game.

In the top of the 5th inning for a second day straight Mookie Betts robbed Freddie Freeman from a home run after he took a stunning catch just near the wall to make sure the Dodgers stay in the game.

They were rewarded for their brilliant defensive play as they levelled the scores in the bottom of the 6th inning through a solo home run from Enrique Hernandez. This was his second of the postseason as a pinch hitter. Some good defensive plays from the Braves prevent Dodgers from scoring again in the 6th inning.

However the highlight of the game came from last year National League MVP Cody Bellinger. The 2017 Rookie of the year had always had a good run in regular season but has struggled in the postseason. After fouling and leaving 7 pitches, he swinged his bat at the 8th pitch he faced to slam home a solo home run to put the Dodgers ahead for the first time in the game.

The Braves tried to rally back but failed and ended up losing the game and lost the series 4-3 and added their name in an unwanted list of team who had blew a postseason series despite being 3-1 up after 4 games.
