Manchester United and Liverpool both suffer heavy defeats

Ollie Watkins was the hattrick hero for Villa

The last action before the international break saw a mammoth of goals being scored. Spurs and Villa thrashed Manchester United and Liverpool respectively .

The two biggest highlight of this week came in the Premier League when 2 of the most Successful Teams in England, Manchester United and Liverpool were humiliated. In the evening Ole Gunnar Solskjær's United faced off Former United boss Jose Mourinho and his Spurs.

United had the best start they could have hoped for and won a Penalty inside 30 seconds. Bruno Fernandes did what he does best and converted from the spot to give them the lead.

After that moment it was all about Spurs and United's Dreadful Defending. 3 sloppy mistakes at the back by Captain Harry Maguire gave Spurs the lead with just 7 minutes gone in the game.

The turning point of the game came in 28th minute when United striker Anthony Martial was controversially sent off for elbowing Spurs's Erik Lamela. After that there was no going back for United. Another mistake at the back, this time by Bailey gave Harry Kane the chance to make it 3-1 and 37th minute,Son Heung Min scored again to make it 4-1 for Spurs.

After Halftime Defender Serge Aurier made it 5-1 to Spurs inside 51 minutes. Harry Kane grabbed his second and completed the raut by placing a 79th minute penalty to make it 6-1 for Spurs. This was just the second time when Manchester United had conceded Six Goals at Home, after happing lost by the same scoreline to city rivals,Manchester City 6-1 on October 23rd,2011.

So after this game no one would have hoped for more goalfest. Aston Villa took on Defending Champions Liverpool at Villa Park with both teams wanting to keep their 100% record going. Liverpool were without Alisson and had to play Adrian as Goalkeeper for this match.

Adrian was the guilty party in Liverpool's 2-3 loss to Atletico Madrid in Extra Time in Champions League Round of 16 tie in February. This time he was the man at fault again unfortunately.

He gave away the ball sloppily at the back and Villa pounced on that mistake as Ollie Watkins gave them the lead inside 4 minutes. 18 minutes later,he scored again this time a wonderful curling shot to make it 2-0 to Aston Villa.

With Sadio Mane out due to being tested positive for COVID-19, Diego Jota took his place instead. When Mohammed Salah scored in the 33rd minute to make it 2-1 no one would have predicted what's to follow.

2 minutes later John McGinn deflected shot made it 3-1 in the 35th minute before Watkins grabbed the match ball in the 39th minute to head it in to make it 4-1 for Villa at the break. Could The Mighty Liverpool make another incredible comeback?

The answer this time was no. A second deflected shot of the game from Former Everton player Ross Barkley rubbed salt into the wound to make it 5-1 for Villa. Liverpool's only bright light in such a dark game was Salah who scored again to reduce the deficient to 5-2.

Aston Villa Captain Jack Grealish had received lot of praise for his work in Promoting Villa back to the Premier League and making sure they avoid the drop. He had already assisted 3 in the game but then decided to have some fun himself.

He scored twice himself, one from a deflected shot(their 3rd deflected shot of the game) and then a stunning solo run to make it astonishingly 7-2. There was no escape for Klopp's Champions. This was the first time that a Premier League Champion had shipped in 7 goals in a game.
