PM Modi's message to the nation

 

Tuesday afternoon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted on his offical Twitter account that he would be giving a message and address the nation at 6pm.

While addressing the nation, he talked about the Covid-19 crisis in the country and compared its good positivity rate and low fatality rate to other countries like USA,Brazil and European countries but also warned the people to not to take this matter lightly.

Ever since the lockdown was restricted and things started to go back to normal, people have been seen roaming around freely without wearing masks and not following social Distancing norms. He warned the people that Lockdown is lifted "but the virus is still there".

With the festive season upon us, he said that markets are bright again but we must remember that COVID-19 still exists. "India is in a stable condition,we must not let it deteriorate" he said.

He has once again urged the citizens to stay safe during this festive times,follow proper norms and safety precautions. He said to the people "Jab Tak Vaccine Nahi, Tab Tak Du Kaag Ki Duri"(Till there is a vaccine,till then stay away 2 feet). He would conclude his message by once again congratulating the people over the upcoming festivals.

India has seen a dip in number of cases in recent weeks. For the worst time in nearly 3 months, India reported less than 50,000 cases in a day when it recorded 46,790 cases on Monday(19th October). With this the total number of cases increased to 75,97,063 with 67,33,328 recoveries and 1,15,197 deaths.
