Rays hammer back in Game 2

Another Bad Start for Tony Gonsolin
The Tampa Bay Rays Defeated Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 2 of the World Series by a score of 6-4 to level the series 1-1 and showed their determination to win the tournament this year.

Tony Gonsolin started for the Dodgers for the 4th time in the postseason this year.He had a 2-1 W/L record this postseason with an era high of 9.95. He gave a 3rd Homerun in this postseason in the very first inning as Brandon Lowe slammed a solo home run in the top of the 1st to make it 1-0.

Whereas for the Rays it was Blake Snell who took the mound as Starting Pitcher. He threw four scoreless innings with 8 strikeouts. Meanwhile Gonsolin was changed in the 2nd inning as he again had a bad start.

Rays extended their lead in the top of a 4th inning through an RBI double by Joey Wendle. The Rays added another run to make it 3-0 as they looked dominant in the matchup. They kept on firing with the bat as a 2 run home run by Brandon Lowe (his second HR) of the night made it 5-0 for the Rays in the top of the 5th inning.Lowe's second home run meant that the Rays had homered 28 times in a postseason, a new record in MLB History for most home runs in a postseason surpassing the Houston Astros 's 27 HR record in 2017.

The Dodgers got on the board with a 2 run home run from Chris Taylor in the bottom of the 5th inning, looking to ignite another comeback.

A sac fly from Joey Wendle made it 6-2 for the Rays in the top of the 6th inning as they tried to increase their lead. Unfortunately for them they were unable to add any more runs as they were restricted by the Dodgers's pitchers.

Will Smith then slammed a solo home run in the bottom of the 6th to make it 6-3 for LAD. Corey Seager then slammed a solo home run as well in the bottom of the 8th inning to make it 6-4. This was his 7th HR of the postseason. Two close strike three calls avoided the dangerous situation for Rays as they closed on the win.
