The Bombay High Court On Wednesday has granted bail to Actress Rhea Chakraborty after she was arrested in drug scandal by the Narcotics Contral Bureau (NCB) which had emerged during the Investigation of death of Actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Her bail has also been accepted with a 1 Lakh Rupees bond though her brother Showik Chakraborty's plea for Bail was rejected. The other two accused in the case Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant have also been granted bail by the High Court.
Rhea's Lawyer Satish Maneshinde has released this statement after she received her bail "We are delighted by the Order of The Honorable Bombay High Court granting bail to Rhea Chakraborty. Truth and Justice have prevailed and ultimately the submissions on facts and laws have been accepted by Justice Sarang V Kotwal. The Arrest and custody of Rhea was totally unwarranted and beyond the reach of law. The Houding and Witching Hunt by three central agencies.. the CBI,ED and NCB of Rhea should come to an end.We remain committed to the Truth.Satyamev Jayate."
There are certain conditions which she has to follow while on Bail. She has been asked to Mark her presence in nearby police station for 10 days straight. She should deposit her passport and must not leave or travel outside the country without the prior permission of the court.
The news have brought joy among some in the Bollywood Industry which has been a constant target in the public eye since Sushant's death on the topics of 'Nepotism' and 'Drug Peddling'.
Actress Taapsee Pannu took to her Twitter Account and posted a message while taking a hit at the haters and trollers who were against her and accussed her. She also wishes that she(Rhea) stays well and this whole situation doesn't affect her mental health.
Hope her time in jail has sufficed the egos of a lot of people out there who in the name of justice for Sushant fulfilled their personal/professional agendas.Praying she doesn’t become bitter towards the life she has ahead of her.
