Earlier today,Union Minister Smriti Irani took aim at Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi and said his visit to Hathras was a political gimmick move and not for any intention of seeking justice for the victim's family.
While addressing the Media she said "People are aware of Congress's tactics and that is why they ensured a historic win for BJP in 2019 polls. People understand that their (Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi) visit to Hathras is for their politics and not for justice to the victim."
Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi travelled to Hathras on Thursday to meet the family of the 19 Year Old Victim and to aid them in her justice. They were however stopped midway through by the UP Police along with hundreds of Congress Supporters.
Later the Police would arrest Rahul Gandhi for constantly breaking the pandemic laws as the Police said that Section 144 was still imposed in UP and he was not cooperating with them.
