It is a big relief for all the Indian Cinema Lovers as the Legendary Veteran Bengali Actor Soumitra Chatterjee has tested negative for COVID-19. On Wednesday evening, the medical team treating him revealed that his condition has marginally improved. The iconic actor had recently tested positive for corona virus and was rushed to a private hospital in Kolkata as his health deteriorated.
The doctors claimed he has no fever since Tuesday evening but still remains in an “acute confusional state.” However, he is responding well to verbal commands and is also opening his eyes.
The medical report of Soumitra Chatterjee states that his involuntary movements and jittery condition still persists. It also added his kidney, liver function, ammonia level in the blood, the infective mucus are slowly normalising or are almost normal. The cardiac function, blood pressure, respiration and urine output are improving.
The doctors said, “We had to give him a little bit of oxygen support and at times intermittent BiPAB support as a precautionary measure. He is doing quite well on that part too.”
