Aussie Batsmen Too Hot For Indian Bowlers

Steve Smith is in red hot form

Just 2 days after their first encounter of the series, Australia Defeated India by 51 runs in another high scoring game and won the best of three series. Another stunning Performance by the bat from Aussie players with Steve Smith scoring a 2nd Consecutive Hundred.

As the first game, Australia won the toss and elected to bat. Another fine opening run stand between Aaron Finch and David Warner helped Australia. They duo added 142 runs in just 23 overs as Finch was then caught out at a score of 60. Soon after his dismissal, Australia lost David Warner at the score of 156/2 with him contributing 83 of just 77 balls.

Steve Smith started this inning where he left of the last one. He was supported by Labuschagne as they duo added a 136 run Partnership for the 3rd wicket. Smith scored 104 of just 64 balls which included 14 fours and 2 sixes. Labuschagne scored 70 runs of 61 balls and another hard hitting Cameo by Glenn Maxwell of 63 not out of just 29 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes helped Australia set up a huge score of 389/4 in 50 overs. Every batsmen (except Henriques who just faced a single ball) scored 50+ runs.

The Indian batting lineup just like last time couldn't handle the heat and gave away quick wickets. Fine innings from Captain Virat Kohli of 89 runs of 87 balls and KL Rahul' inning of 76 runs of 66 balls helped India to atleast reach a respectable score. Pandya and Jadeja tried some shots but with 89 runs required in the last 5 overs was too much for them. In the end, India once again avoided to be bowled out and completed their innings scoring 338/9 in their 50 overs. The Third ODI will take place o Wednesday as India will try to avoid a clean sweep and atleast get something back at Australia.
