With Joe Biden elected as the new president of the United States of America, China took a dig at him and said that he is a very weak President and one day may start wars between the two nations.
One of the Spokesperson of Chinese Zheng Yongnian has said that the relations between both countries will not improve automatically just by his appointing and must utilise every opportunity to mend ties with the US.
In an interview he said "The Good Old Days are over and the cold war hawks in the US have been in a highly mobilized state for several years and they will not disappear overnight".
Zheng attended a meeting in August hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping to offer advice on China's long term strategy. In that he said that president-elect Biden might take advantage of the White House and attack China to gain Supporters.
"American Society is torn apart. I don't think Biden can do anything about it" he said. "He is certainly a very weak President, if he can't sort out domestic issues then he will do something on diplomatic front, do something against China.If we say Trump is not interested in promoting democracy and freedom,Biden is.(President) Trump is not interested in war... But a Democratic President could start wars."
