Ex-Hockey Captain Xavier D'souza's Untimely Demise.

4 days have passed yet no Media covered the news of the sudden Demise of Ex-Hockey Captain and Player of Nehru Cup, Mr. Xavier D'Souza. He was the husband of Renowned Singer & Hema Sardesai.

In November 2019, he was diagnosed with Cancer and had underwent a surgery. Then in April 2020, he went through a major surgery again. In 2020, he was hospitalised for nine weeks in Narayana Hospital Bangalore and in Sri Sri Hospital Bangalore for a month. The Doctors were dumbstruck seeing his splendid recovery. His wife Hema was by his bedside at his service every minute throughout.

He had started responding well to the treatment but the sudden onset of lymphoedema lead to some discomfort. On 21st November 2020, Mr. Xavier D'Souza passed away due to a sudden cardiac arrest.

Despite being earlier detected with last stage metastasis, he was off pain killers for the last two and a half months. According to the doctors, he passed away without suffering from any pain.

Early Life, Career & Noble Works

Xavier D'Souza's alma mater are:- Don Bosco School (Goa) and Dempo College (Goa). He played in Indian Hockey team for Nehru Cup and was also An Ex-Hockey Captain. Later he worked as an investment banker hailing from Cunchelim, Goa.

He was a highly learned man, true gentleman, a great husband, great son and a great human being indeed. One could rarely find a friend like him. He selflessly supported his wife Hema Sardesai in many genuine activism for noble causes.
