Guru Nanak Jayanti Significance Briefed

 

To all the Readers of Su-Niti News, we wish a very Happy and Prosperous 551st Guru Parab(Guru Nanak Jayanti) as well as Dev Deepavali.

Guru Nanak started writing the Guru Granth Sahib and wrote 974 hymns in it to encapsulate his spiritual preachings.⁣

The Guru Granth Sahib then became a collation of many hymns, poems, shabads & other writings from many different scholars, including all the Gurus and several Hindu and Muslim writers.

The main verses from the Guru Granth Sahib elaborate that the creator of the universe is one.

His verses also propagate selfless service to humanity, prosperity and social justice for all irrespective of any demographic differences.

The Guru Granth Sahib is not just the holy scripture of Sikhism. It is also considered as the living Guru.

Before Guru Gobind Singh died, he declared that there would be no more human Gurus and that the Guru Granth Sahib would be the Eternal Guru.⁣
