PM Modi Meets Chief Ministers via Video Conferencing

With the recent surge in Covid-19 Cases in the country, PM Narendra Modi has his 9th virtual meeting with the CM's of the worst affected states and discussed their plans and the upcoming vaccines.

Joining him in the meeting were Union Home Minister Amit Shah with the CM of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray,CM of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee,CM of Gujarat Vijay Rupani,CM of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot,CM of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar ,CM of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal.

In the meeting PM Modi asked the CM's to increase rapid testing in their respective states and try to bring down the positivity rate to 1% and has said that the mission of Coronavirus vaccination of each citizen is like a national commitment.

"Each state and shakeholder has to work as a team to ensure that this mission is systematic,smooths and a sustained effort" said PM Modi according to ANI.

He also said that trail of vaccine is in its final stage but they dont Know yet what the price of the vaccine will be. "We still don't have answers to these questions" he said while saying that there might be one or two or three doses of a vaccine.

He warned people that despite the recovery rate increasing, the danger of Covid-19 still exists and we must take every precautions necessary to safe ourselves and our family members.

He has urged the CM's to prepare their plans on the distribution of vaccine in their respective states and submit it to him. 

With a surge of 37,975 cases, the caseload increased to 91,77,841 Covid-19 cases with 86,04,955 Recoveries and 1,34,218 deaths According to the union Health Ministry Data.
