Ramesh Pokhriyal, Education Minister on Friday has said that Class X and XII board exams of 2021 and competitive exams would be conducted after through consultations with students,parents and teachers in view of Covid-19.
Pokhriyal said "Conducting examinations is no less than a challenge. Despite the uncertainty due to Covid-19 pandemic, it is crucial to conduct board examinations as well as entrance examinations for admission to higher institutions."
He added "I will have an interaction with parents,students and teachers in this regard and exams will only be conducted based on outcome of the interaction."
His interaction with student bodies is said to take place in December 3 after which he will have talks with teachers and parents and take their views and opinions in this matter.
Due to the pandemic, Schools and Colleges were closed since March. Competitive exams like JEE,JEE Main and NEET were postponed twice this year and some board decide to cancel the exams and give the results on basis of alternative assessment schemes.
