35,000 Cops to be Deployed on New Years Eve in Mumbai

 

In the view of the COVID-19 Pandemic and the imposing of Night Curfew till January 5 in Mumbai, around 35,000 Mumbai Police Officers will be deployed to guard the city on New Year Eve this year to maintain law and order and make sure people follow social distancing and safety norms and obey the curfew orders.

As per the Night Curfew Restrictions, Restaurants Pubs and other recreational establishments will have to close their shutters at 11pm sharp.Those failing to do so will have to major serious repercussions against them.

Joint Commissioner of Police Vishwas Patil said that people are allowed to travel but only in groups of four or less and the public can go to their favorite places including Gateway of India,Marine Drive,Girgaum Chowpatty,Juhu,Gorai and Madh Island.

He also added that parties on boats and terraces will not be permitted and those who organize them will have to face action by the Police.
