Renowned Filmmaker Christopher Nolan has been left speechless during shooting of his film "Tenet" in Mumbai after seeing the "extraordinary History" and eye catching visuals of the city.
His new feature film "Tenet" which is based on a globetrotting game of International espionage it features John David Washington in the lead role alongside Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki,Dimple Kapadia,Aaron Taylor Johnson,Keeneth Branagh,Clemence Posey and Michael Caine.
This movie had been shot in countries like Denmark,Estonia,Italy,UK,Norway and USA. It was also shot in India last year in Mumbai when Nolan and his cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema came along for with there crew for a 5 day shoot.
This was however not his first time shooting in India as he had shooted a short sequence of his 2012 movie "The Dark Knight Rises" in Jodhpur.
In his recent meeting with the Warner Bros he said "Every time I go to India, I am stuck by how unbelievably visual this place is. I had shot a couple of days in Jodhpur on 'The Dark Knight Rises' and always wanted to go back an shoot a substantial sequence and I had the opportunity to do that on 'Tenet'."
He added "We shot in Mumbai, which is one of the most extraordinary looking cities in the world in terms of its architecture, the amazing people and the abundance of life on the streets there. It is really a remarkable place with this extraordinary history so to be able to take the audience there, it seemed a very exciting setting."
In Mumbai the movie was shot in areas like Breach Candy Hospital,Colaba Market, Getaway of India, Grant Road,Royal Bombay Yatch Club, Taj Mahal Palace Hotel etc.
Nolan is know for his works in Dark Knight Trilogy (2005-12), Interstellar (2014), Inception (2010), Dunkirk(2017). Tenet(2020) is all set to be released on 4th December in English,Hindi,Tamil and Telugu.
