Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij has tweeted out this morning that he has been tested positive for Covid-19 and is admitted at the Civil Hospital in Ambala. Two weeks ago he took part in a trial dose of a Coronavirus vaccine. The Minister has now urged all those who came in contact with him to get tested.
I have been tested Corona positive. I am admitted in Civil Hospital Ambala Cantt. All those who have come in close contact to me are advised to get themselves tested for corona.

After this announcement,Union Health Ministry made the following statement "The Antibodies against the infection build up in a human being only after a specific number of days pass after the second dose of the vaccine is taken, since this is a two dose vaccine. The Minister in question has taken only one dose of the vaccine."
He had administered for a trail dose of a Coronavirus vaccine as a part of the third trail phase of Bharat Biotech's Covaxin. Earlier he had announced on Twitter that he will be the first volunteer in his state to take this vaccine.
Haryana has reported over 2.4 lakh cases of Coronavirus cases with 2,539 deaths so far.
